Theres Oakes

Theres is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in product characterization within the biotechnology industry. She is currently serving as the Head of Product Characterisation at Achilles Therapeutics plc, a position she has held since October 2021. Prior to this role, Theres excelled as the Team Leader of Product Characterisation for almost two years. 

Her impressive journey at Achilles Therapeutics began as a Principal Scientist in 2018, where she showcased her expertise and dedication to advancing the company’s goals. Before joining Achilles Therapeutics, Theres held the position of Senior Scientist from January 2017 to January 2018, contributing her skills and knowledge to significant projects in the United Kingdom. 

Theres’ academic background is equally impressive, having completed her postdoctoral research fellowship at University College London from January 2012 to December 2016. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Research Assistant at the same institution, the Royal Free Hospital/Department of Immunology, during 2006-2007. 

Throughout her 6 years and 8 months at Achilles Therapeutics, Theres has demonstrated exceptional leadership and scientific capabilities, making her a valuable asset in the field of biotechnology and product development.
