Simon Hort

Simon Hort studied industrial engineering at RWTH Aachen University and KIT Karlsruhe. Since 2019, he has been a research assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT in the field of laboratory automation and digitalization involving the work in large EU and national research projects. Since 2021, he has been a team leader in the group Adaptive Production Control. With his team he works on the development and deployment of the flexible control software COPE for automated cell and gene therapy as well as the integration of AI for optimizing CAR-T cell manufacturing.
