Juliana Pinto

Juliana graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro with a BSc in Biophysics/Biotechnology and then completed her PhD in Biophysics at the same university. She worked in clinical cell therapy for six years before joining UCL in 2017 to set up the UCL CAR T manufacturing platform at the CCGTT. Currently, she leads CAR T manufacturing and development for the translation of new products in the UCL CAR T programme. The team has manufactured close to 100 CAR T product batches, for multiple Phase 1 clinical trials.
