Fernanda is a highly experienced professional in the field of cell and gene therapies, with a strong focus on manufacturing innovation and commercial strategy. Currently, she serves as the Head of Manufacturing Innovation, BD at Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult (CGTC), where she plays a key role in developing and delivering the manufacturing technology innovation strategy across all CGTC centers. Fernanda also previously served as the Head of Commercial at the Stevenage Manufacturing Innovation Centre (SMIC), overseeing the alignment of business models with the needs of emerging and established cell and gene therapy developers and manufacturers.
With a diverse background, Fernanda has founded her own consulting firm, Yres Consulting, where she provides technical expertise and strategic guidance in areas such as process development, market analysis, and growth strategies for companies entering the cell and gene therapy market. She has also held positions at Sartorius Stedim Biotech, where she served as a Global Solutions Manager for iPSCs, and at the Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine (CCRM) as a Bioprocess Development Engineer.
